Dr. Judith Aronson-Ramos, M.D.

Headhsot

Judith Aronson-Ramos, M.D., is a Board Certified Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician  whose practice is devoted exclusively to the evaluation and treatment of pediatric patients (birth - 21 yrs) with challenges in learning, behavior, development, and social-emotional functioning. Having practiced Pediatrics for over 20 years in many different settings, she is aware of the need to accurately identify children and adolescents who are experiencing problems and provide them with individualized and comprehensive care.

Our diagnostic evaluations utilize office based assessments, interviews, review of records and prior testing, laboratory studies, and observations at school. If a definitive diagnosis is not evident, we focus on addressing the specific areas of need. If an individual has recently completed a comprehensive evaluation, we will focus on maintaining effective treatment, follow up care, and when indicated, re-evaluation. You will always leave our office with a treatment plan which has recommendations for specific therapies, schools, and interventions deemed appropriate for each family's unique needs.

If medication is indicated, it will be prescribed as part of a comprehensive plan. We emphasize comprehensive as medications alone are rarely effective in leading to a successful outcome. Medications may or may not be part of an intervention plan. We will also discuss nutrition, supplements, and treatment alternatives on an individual basis. We encourage consistent follow up to monitor progress and enable families to maintain the best possible results.

Our practice offers Cogmed Working Memory Training. Cogmed is an intensive computer based program completed at home for ages 4 and up. This program has accumulated more extensive research support than any other cognitive training program. This includes several randomized-controlled trials and a number of studies by investigators at leading universities around the world who have no affiliation with Cogmed. In fact, Cogmed has more published research support than any other cognitive training program. It is being used at over 300 practices in North America and many others across the world. Cogmed has been a successful intervention for children and teens with: ADHD, Learning Disorders, ASD, and other processing problems. For more information see the SERVICES tab on this website. For young adults our assessment and treatment focus on the transition to self-reliance. Our approach is tailored to the unique needs of the individual with a commitment to privacy and respect for independence.

Dr. Aronson-Ramos will not replace your general Pediatrician or Primary Care Physician, she is a Developmental & Behavioral Pediatrician which is a sub-specialist. Our practice utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach, and we will make every effort to facilitate communication between family members and other professionals. Our mission is to provide high quality individualized care in a compassionate and supportive environment.
