Preliminary Consultation

30 minutes ($135) Some families have many questions and concerns when beginning the process of evaluating their child. The website is designed to provide this information. However, for families who feel they need to meet Dr. Aronson-Ramos, this visit affords them the opportunity to discuss their concerns and decide whether or not to schedule a full evaluation. If later visits are scheduled the fee for this visit will be applied to the initial consultation. Click here for preliminary consult form

Initial Consultation

90 minutes ($375): Comprehensive interview of parents. (In the case of young adults between 18 and 21 years of age this is obviously not required.) This is a very extensive process and includes the following information: past medical and birth history, nutrition, sleep habits, development, school, social interaction, family history and dynamics, activities and interests, traumatic events, prior treatments and more. I will also review all medical records, laboratory tests, imaging studies, prior evaluations and testing, school reports, work samples and interview any designated teachers, therapists or specialists.

Treatment Consultation

90 minutes ($375): This visit is for the parents and the child together when comprehensive testing and evaluations have already been completed. The focus of this visit is to establish a treatment plan appropriate for the individual child and family. It is important that the parents provide copies of prior records and reports. The treatment plan may include a wide variety of interventions such as: medication, nutritional interventions and supplements, referral to therapists, computer based training programs, parenting education, social skills groups, and other options.

Child Only Visit

60 minutes ($270): Evaluation of the child, with or without the parent depending upon the age of the child, screening/testing measures, complete examination, interview, play based evaluations.

Feedback Visit

60 minutes ($270): Review findings, discuss diagnosis, develop treatment plan, discuss possible interventions - medicines, therapies, school programs, enrichment activities, etc.

Follow-up Routine (30 min) or Extended (60 min)

30/60 minutes ($135/$270): Follow up visits will last 30 or 60 minutes, classified as routine or extended depending upon the needs of the child and family. Medication monitoring must be a minimum of every three months, in certain situations more or less frequent monitoring will be necessary. Sticking to a schedule is important to avoid problems with medication refills. Assessment and monitoring of other treatment interventions such as therapies, nutrition, and other plans will be determined on and individual basis.

ADOS- Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule

This test will be incorporated into a full evaluation in certain circumstances. If a parent or professional requests the ADOS by itself the fee is $400.

Bio-Balance: Nutrition and Integrative Medicine Consultation

This is an Integrative Medicine Program available to new or established patients. Bio-Balance incorporates evidence based nutrition, diets, supplements, and environmental factors into a plan for the entire family. The program combines medical expertise, nutritional counseling, and behavioral therapy. Please go to the Butterfly Effects website for more information. www.butterflyeffects.com

Stable patients

Patients receiving medication management only, can expect 30 minute follow-up visits a minimum of every three months; all other appointments are made on an individualized basis.

Phone consultations

These are available for parents who are unable to schedule an office visit. These sessions are billed at the same hourly rates as an office visit. A phone consultation may at times provide convenience to the family who has difficulty scheduling an office visit. However, it is not a substitute for face to face time with your child, but it may take the place of an office visit occasionally.

School Visits

These and other observations are available on an hourly basis. Please call Dr Aronson-Ramos directly before scheduling.

Cogmed Brain Training Program

There are two types of visits to begin the Cogmed brain training program. The first visit is the Cogmed Start-Up which includes the parents and child. The final visit is the Cogmed Wrap-Up which will be scheduled 3-4 weeks after the conclusion of the brain training program. These visits should be scheduled once a decision has been firmly made to follow through with the cogmed brain training program. All office visits are included in the one fee for the cogmed program.
